Even as a veteran editor with more than 13 years of experience in the beauty industry, I still find navigating all the different products, tools, and treatments overwhelming. What works? What’s just hype? What’s worth the money? These kinds of questions are exactly why, for the past 12 months, 19 other Cosmo editors and I have been quietly cleansing, blending, buffing, styling, and spritzing our way through more beauty products and tools than we can count.

The result? Cosmopolitan’s 2026 Holy Grail Beauty Awards—our biggest lineup ever. After testing more than 2,000 products, we narrowed it all down to 370 standout winners across every category: face, body, hair, makeup, nails, fragrance, and clean beauty plus pro tools and in-office treatments. Only the best of the best made the cut. See a sneak preview of each category below (and photos of model Paloma Sandoval sporting a few of the winners) and be sure to click each link for our full edit in every category.

Our Methodology

May 2025 to October 2025: We (aka the Cosmo beauty team) compile data on new and noteworthy beauty launches while continually researching and reviewing the thousands (yes, actual thousands) of products that come across our desks.

October 2025: The Cosmo beauty team organizes standout products and treatments into categories spanning skincare, bodycare, makeup, hair, fragrance, nails, and pro treatments.

November 2025 to March 2026: The top products in each category are sent to a select group of beauty-obsessed Cosmo staffers for a five-month testing period. These staffers are asked to evaluate products honestly based on criteria such as efficacy, ease of use, value, and innovation.

April 2026: Cosmo staffers submit their favorite products (along with detailed feedback and testing notes) to the Cosmo beauty team for review. We then take all of that info and use it to create this list of 370 winners—our biggest beauty awards EVER.

May 2026: We share all of the winners—and exactly why our staff testers love them—in these easy-to-shop stories.
